David Chapman is a composer, programmer and musician who composed and performed songs for various Sydney bands throughout the 80’s until forming audio post and music production facility Zig Zag Lane with engineer and manager Derek Allan. David's strength is his ability to compose across a broad range of genres and his CV is testament to this, with many credits in documentary, factual, drama, children's television, trailers and film. He worked and composed with Iva Davies in the band Icehouse during the 90’s, and co-arranged and performed in two seasons of the Sydney Dance Company's highly successful production of "Berlin".

He has won numerous awards including the APRA/AGSC Television Theme of the Year Award for 'Enough Rope with Andrew Denton' and the Johnny Dennis Music Award among many nominations.
